Felixstowe 25K

25K event absolutely riddled with Brits! With Borwell and South in good form and playing on grass again I'm hopeful of some good points!

Borwell has reached the top 200 for the first time with her win at Wimbledon!

I'm a bit suprised Naomi Cavaday hasn't entered this event. I hope she hasn't picked up an injury.

Updated draws are available on the LTA latest results page.

Is it possibly stil because of the problem with playing too many adult events as a junior? I think she's keen to play US Open Juniors now that she's a main draw certainty so she may not start playing loads of main events until then. Just a thought.

Why is she a main draw certainanty. Has she been guarennteed a wildcard for the US Open Main Draw?

Shes a main draw certainty for the juniors I think. That is what I meant. Her showing at Wimbly juniors has improved her ranking enough as far as I can see!

shes ranked 39. i think the top 46 of juniors make up the draw excluding qualies n wildcards. so i think she has done enough depends, how well she does in some of the junior events leading to the US open, so she can be certain she has done enough to qualify. wonder if she will attempt to qualify for some tier 4 events, if there's any!

No Brits lost to lower ranked players which is unusual and encouraging!

That's a great win for Julia Bone! Impressive! Quarter finals of a £25000 event!

Go Sarah Borwell.

I think Mel and Katie play each other today too!

Amandas opponent today is ranked 160 which is a lot higher than her so well done girl!

Julia Bone has beaten a player ranked 350 and then 269 while she is ranked at 867. What a great performance so far!

Qfinals -

Keen vs Coin (256)

Bone vs Musgrave (442)

Borwell vs South (This one will be interesting!)

Julia Bone unfortunately lost 61 26 64 to Musgrave today, but her performance this week should have given her a couple of hundred ranking places, which is nice.

Also foreigner has so far beaten foreigner!
