She took part in a Hyrox competition at the weekend. Assuming thought the fitness trial was more important at this end of the season. Its tough!

Annika is born 2009, the left-handed twin (sister kris is the right-hander), educated by Czch grandma in the US

Another promising 17yo, although a little behind our own top two. She still has a junior ranking (139) but her JCH of 16 was last year.

The two of them have had some injuries, not exactly over-lapping, but nearly, and took some time out - they're born Sept 2009 so almost a year younger than Mika, and 6 months younger than Hannah

Very hard-hitiing, flat weighty shots, but don't move particularly well - part of the reason they've been successful in doubles (two GS junior titles)

Just noticed, Kristina is also in the main draw. WR498 and seeded 6. And the sisters are seeded 2 in doubles.

A real ding-dong battle

Brooke lost the first set

Got to a second set TB, was 3-4 down, and then reeled off some fine points, with lefty Penickova getting a touch unlucky on a net cord, and having another point in her control but not being quite brave enough, and Brooke really unleashing on one of them, and showing excellent defence on another

Into a third set
