By the way, I see that the US Open main draw starts on that Sunday.
Sorry, yes, amended.
All the ITF events will still finish on that Sunday so the nominations will run to include them; although if all British play in August events is over by the Sunday, I may choose to put the vote up early.
Obviously any Sunday US Open play will be part of the September process with all the other US Open play; mixed doubles aside!

Charles and Millie get singles titles today, well done both! Loads of junior titles also for those following that detail! And Dahnon Ward wins the Austrian Open mens wheelchair singles in a big upset!
1. Dahnon Ward - WR 33 and unseeded, won the Austrian Open title, beating the 1, 2, 3 and 8 seeds (WR 15, 18, 19, 27) en route for a stunning title, including beating Ben Bartram in the final following 12 straight losses to him. Stunning title to win, surely the best effort of his career, certainly the biggest level tournament win of his career

As folks know, I tend to not nominate women's players - not because I don't value their achievements or want to see them do well, but because I don't follow the game enough to feel I am a good judge of what they have done.
I was a little surprised, though, that Mille Rajecki and even Ella McDonald didnt feature here after the weekend? Struck me that winning a W35 unseeded in Millie's case and being a finalist unseeded and winning the doubles, in Ella's, would be noteworthy. Just wondered if anyone had considered it or perhaps waiting to see how this week pans out?
Not judging, just interested. I follow men's much more closely, Charles Broom won an M25 but I felt relative to his pedigree that one title wasn't enough at M25 level and would like to see more this month. But it felt like the women may have crossed a slightly higher relative level?
I thought about nominating Millie especially reaching the final in Dublin the week before too but wanted to wait until the end of the UK and Ireland tournament run (I think Millie was originally down to play Aldershot this week)

Makes sense - good to see people had them on their radars!
Yes, while Dublin was strictly last month, I think it not unreasonable to mention it in passing as Roehampton being a continuation of Millie's good form.
Though that is maybe part of I imagine the slight caution with some for now ( and plenty folk here follow women's tennis ). Just for me it wasn't a hugely unexpected title run for a CH top 400 player back in better form and just outside the seedings even without Dublin added in.
But hey, this is probably a bit silly, justifying not yet nominating someone. Folk will make their nomination choices in time. They do have radars and judgement. Even make sense
Anyway I should and will just leave this be for now ...

No need to justify, i just had a raised eyebrow moment and wondered what other people were thinking. Hopefully both will go on to do more this month!
