Certainly is going to be tough for Alex considering Tursunov done well last year at Wimbledon and putting Tim out in the process.. I'm thinking Tursunov will win but I hope Alex can provide an upset.

i'd love to see boggo do this but realisticly he will have to play out of his skin and turnsnov have a mare.
turns has only played queens twice, and only won one match last year vs jonas bjorkman, he then lost to greg.
alex's best chance is if he hasn't had much time to prepare for the grass after RG and takes time adjusting, unfortunaly alex didnt get much practice at surbs although i did see a report that even tho al lost he played well.

i feel a bit sorry for alex, he always seems to get bad wc's, vs seeded players or players playing on their prefered surface, he's never come up agaisnt a clay courter etc on the grass. murrays 1st wimby wc was bastl, in 4 wc's there al has never played anyone as low ranked.

I suppose it's the luck of the draw when you constantly have to rely on WC's for your points. Maybe if he had worked a little harder in the past few years and showed a wee bit more ambition by playing ATP events he would have been able to qualify by right and have a wee bit more luck with the draw.
I honestly hope that Alex wins, but to be honest, I find it hard to feel sorry for him when he gets bad draws when the only time he shows any real interest in the ATP circuit is when he gets a WC into them. I know he qualified for the USO as well, but for a guy who has been on the ATP tour for 4 years and who has the talent he has, he should be getting into these tournaments by right now.

He did face Calatrava in the first round of the US open in 2004 and Kevin Kim last year at Wimbledon which were big oppurtunities. You don't get many so when they do come you have to take them.
calatrava was a good oppourtunity i agree and he almost took it, it was his 1st 5 set set match and he cramped up towards the end and he was disspointed, but how often to players win their 1st 5 setter?
Kim was definalty a good oppourtunity, but i also saw the way kim played, retiving everything and banging down aces, and alex was furious with himself after the match he knew his performnce wasn't great but kim played really well too.
