Fantastic result! Hopefully a real breakthrough week for them, feeling as though they belong at ATP level. I hope they stick together for the rest of the season and see where they can get to.
Does anyone have in mind the typical US Open CR cut off? Marcus and David must be close or on the cusp of getting in with their combined ranks?
I want to say i Grand Slams in general your combined ranking needs to be no higher than 130ish. So Marcus is in a good place but David probably needs to get into at least the top 70.Their current live ranking would give them a combined 141. Id say that would give you an outside shout. Obviously it depends how many singles player decide to join in the fun.
Marcus is now live ranked 60 amd David 81 for a live CR 141
Marcus did also reach the Umag 250 final last year (.partnering Patrik Trhac ) when it was a week later in the calendar, so the points he will add this week are due to drop back off next week. Hopefully he and David can gain other points.
