with it being a 100 level event, and Jay being seeded 4, it must be seen as an opportunity for some decent points for him

L16: Andrej Martin (SVK) WR 453 (CH = 93 in February 2020) defeated (4) Jay Clarke WR 184 7-6(3), 6-3


Only watched a couple of points but Martin was playing very well, looking like a former top 100 player, dictating heavily with his forehand. I don't know what others think, but I feel Jay is a bit too passive at times. Maybe needs to flatten out the ball more and take some more risks

 Dang - this Rwanda trip could have been a great one for points, but Jay didnt get much change out of it at all, sadly
