Jacob F doesnt seem to be in qualifying. Has he decided to keep with challengers for the time being?

I haven't seen the entry list but presumably with his ranking and a 96 draw, Jake might have slipped into the main draw?

I might be wrong as didn't check where he was on the list, but when he entered, he must have been close to the main draw (I was surprised he didn't make the cut initially anyway, tbh).

Of course he may have gone down the challenger route, he is in the big Phoenix one next week

Jake was 2 away from main draw at last update. Pretty sure he has got in.

It would make sense, be surprised if he missed a big one like this at this stage in his career, regardless of form.

IW is typically a slow court, serve isnt so important and it might give him a chance to hone his strokes

C'mon the Brits. Cam and Jack have great history here.

Website lists Jake as a qualifier,  so presumably he's slipped into the MD

On menstennisforum yesterday Jake was shown as being next in, so I presume he's made it.

Look forward to IW each year - the only Masters outside Paris and Rome that gets me truly excited. Miami often feels like too much too soon after IW

Both our guys have lost their first sets. Jack 3-6. Billy 4-6.

Not massively surprised. Only watched a few points but Bonzi was clearly hitting well.

IW is quite tricky - qualies haven't really.been a happy hunting ground for our guys traditionally. It can be slow, windy and conditions can change really quickly and unexpectedly

Brits have had more luck qualifying for Miami in the past so I'd expect JPJ and hopefully Billy to fare better there
