Indianna Spink

Congratulations to 23 yo Indianna who won the W15 Manacor, Spain tournament (Week 8 23/02/2026)

She is already ranked in the top 1000 at 921 but after her exploits here should have a new CH of

around 791.

I remember when you used to express sympathy for 'poor' Ema Lazic as she had to do through life, missing an 'm' biggrin

Do you feel rather overawed by Indianna Spink's extra 'n', Indy? smile

Wasn't she a GB teammate of Emma in her junior days?

She was definitely one of the LTA favoured players, she was in their 'elite' group (I don't remember the junior teams, as such, but it's very likely, as you say). There was a fair amount of mutterings that she was TOO favoured (I was one of the mutterers, and stand by that) but college was obviously a good route and it's lovely to see her getting some success now.
