Our last remaining GB woman this week...

QF:- Lauryn John-Baptiste (GBR) WR1079 v Anna Pushkareva (***) UNR/16yo/JR50 [JR]

Anna was runner-up last week in Sharm in her first tournament.

There were 14 Russians in the main draw...... yes, 14 !! (That's slightly more than last year)

Well done, Lauryn !

Anna Pushkareva is a high-profile name as she won Les Petits As a couple of years ago, making her the top 14U in the world really.

But then went off the radar a little - no idea if she was injured, or it was a Russian travel thing or what

Anyway, very pleased that our Lauryn managed to put pay to precocious youngster - she'll have her time to come
