Week 45 - ATP 250 - Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship - Athens, Greece (indoor hard)

L28:  Damir Dzumhur (BIH) WR 63 (CH = 23 in July 2018) vs Jacob Fearnley WR 78 (CH = 49 in June)

NoDjo's the top seed & in the opposite half of the draw from Jake.

Musetti taken the wildcard here with an eye on Turin. If FAA takes the Paris title, wont be surprised if Musetti withdraws, so maybe a lucky loser spot going.

Hopefully Jacob can now take a well-earned rest, then work on a few things (not least the serve) and come back stronger in 2026.

He doesn't appear to have anything in his schedule, so hopefully that will be the plan

I agree with these sentiments .. Jake need a mental break, physical rest and then a training block and come back energised for '26

Musetti almost lost at the first hurdle as Stan the Man ran him so close! 4-6 7-6(5) 6-4. Musetti still in the hunt for the Tour Finals but that wont have helped his cause!

Musetti's last title was three years ago. So even if he does get across the line, he will be a wreck for Turin, with Davis Cup still to come.

I know, right? At least next season they are changing it and ending the Race at Paris - should have done that years ago, the last week dash was a car crash always waiting to happen

Musetti wins today easily, 2 and 4. Into the semis, Turin is still on..

A possible final with Djoko also still on - which would be interesting, Djoko apparently now lives in Athens as well holding the tournament license. Versus Musetti who needs to win to reach Turin. If they get to play, of course

Musettis was cute, Muller was emphatic - take that!

Musetti just survived and won 7-5 final set.

Match versus Djoko tomorrow to decide if he qualifies for Turin or not.

Novak will beat Musetti to knock him out of Turin, then pull out of Turin and let him in!
