Funchal is a popular entry for the British women this week. At the moment Jodie is in the main draw, but the next entry is Emily A at ALT13. There are 18 other ranked Brits in the alt list, but of course that will all change with Tuesday's withdrawal deadline.

Is this correct? Jodie is showing as in the USA on the first post above, whereas Funchal is famously in Madeira? Did you mean USA or has the entry shifted across the Atlantic!? TBD, Madeira is nicer, by far, than whatever the USA has in store!

Yes it is correct. Jodie is on both lists at the moment, and Seagull correctly picks the one that is highest priority. The Funchal entry list is stacked with players at the moment and a lot of those will go at the withdrawal deadline.

Ok, cool - well, I hope she and they get Madeira, lovely anytime of year and on the same time zone as us!

Jodie has now withdrawn from both events.  Can only assume shes got an injury as she hasn't played for 6 weeks. Hope its not too serious.

With wildcards moving up ans SE spots, she will get in comfortably

As is Elaina Blake. No messing in the W15 for Katy.
