Given the level that Brooke as been playing at in Australia, I'm hopeful she can keep that going ..

In a recent Instagram post she said she'd suffered a heat "illness"

Brooke won 6-2 6-4

 Brook is clearly playing well above her present ranking and CH of 763 and in keeping with her JCH of 56. She plays the winner of two qualifiers next.

Katie escapes defeat. She saved match points in the third at 3-5 *15-40 and a further 2 at 5-6*
Rokusek will be furious with herself.

I only watched the last few games. Katie looked a little lethargic. Not sure if it was down to fatigue or just measuring her effort

Not quite the news I was expecting this morning, although Katie managed to grind out a win by the sound of it

Do we know who the Physio was for I wonder?

Nevertheless a win is a win and takes her through to meet Brooke Black?

I was hoping they'd avoid one another so they can both keep amassing points.

I'm wondering if Brooke is going to catch Katie at an opportune moment ..
