Good stuff if Fran is still playing here as per her schedule rather than jumping too much to the Emma tune.

Hopefully she will do well here and get to Shenzhen when she can.

 I guess she's unlikely to actually play in Shenzhen given Fran rarely plays doubles and with Katie and Sonay presumably the two singles picks.

 Fran is in the deciding set as her match is tied at one set all

and 2-2 in the third

Fran had to come from a break down early in the third, but won the last 3 games to progress

Nervy tiebreak but gets it 8-6 with a late overrule from the Chair calling the Americans ball long (correctly I think). Well done.

And I think I am right in saying that she only has one 16 pointer to drop off this year and there is a 15 pointer to replace it.
