Have we acquired another player? Last week, when he & Ben Jones won the doubles title as wild cards in Monastir, the 24-year-old was quite clearly flying the US flag according to the ITF site. The ITF is still showing him as representing the US. Sofascore this week has assigned him a Union flag & the ATP reckons he's one of ours (apparently born in Birmingham - presumably not Birmingham, Alabama!).
In these LTA rankings lists from October 23 and Sept 24, Hopper is listed at 359 and 393 respectively in the British mens doubles lists. So the LTA saw him as British then it seems; in
To repeat what I said on this week's Monastir thread, the ITF is now showing Hopper as GBR on both its Monastir draw sheet & its live scoreboard, so it's beginning to look as though he may have changed his allegiance & unless anyone has any violent objection, I propose to continue to track his progress.
