Mission here to win a round or two at least to clinch US Open qualifying entry from next Monday's Rankings.

Allowing for points due to come off for JoMo and Oliver, our players start the week grouped together in the 230s in live rankings with points in the 230s ( so if nothing else, it is very close for the coveted GB #9 spot  )

Live rankings:
232. JoMo 233 points
233. Oliver 232 points
234. Ryan 232 points

All 3 are in different quarters in the draw, with round by round ranking points being 6, 12, 22, 44, 75.

George actually probably wouldn't be far out if he ended up with 75 title points.

301. George 164 points

It is actually a reflection of real GB progress that we have already guaranteed 3 US Open main draw direct entrants plus 5 qualifying direct entrants plus 3 more on the verge of qualifying entry.

thanks Indy, great overview, much appreciated - makes this a really interesting event and will follow with more interest than I have been able to on other events the past couple of weeks.

In terms of our US Open entries at this stage, we have the following from memory - Jack D (hopefully), Cam, Jake into the MD; and then Dan, Billy, Jan, Jack PJ and Jay. As you say, really good to see and would be good to see one or more join them - what is your view on the benchmark ranking level and points they need to reach to make it? Low 220's and maybe 250 points? So a qf spot needed this week? Or fewer?

I don't know how far it went down last year - others may have more details on last year and previous years?

But last year Liam, Oliver and Jan were all in qualies with entry rankings ranging from 223 to 228.

Also although round one has 6 ranking ponts only Oliver would get them in full. If they win JoMo and Ryan would get 3 points each.

Looking at last year's list, I think Dino Prizmic (230) was the last in so I guess that should be around where the target should be, which hopefully should be achievable.

Yes, if we are getting down to the nitty gritty, JoMo and Ryan go in with a full compliment of counters and lowest counters of 3 points. So 3 points would come off any points earned in determining their net additions.

So if more points are needed, Oliver is in very slightly pole position among the Brits.

So feels like a quarterfinal should be ok, semi to be safe?

That is Ryan's chances gone then, sadly, but decent win for George
