Only 5 WC used out of a potential 8. Tara/Billy and Mimi/JPJ are in the alternates list not given one.

Both those missing seem very unfortuante Not sure the LTA have given Tara many breaks since the doping issue arose, you'd have thought they would want to help her. And JPJ and Mimi would be an interesting pair for the public.

If our top 6 male players plus Olivia had played with foreigners (obviously stupid Henry and Olivia splitting up but for arguements sake) plus 8 wild cards that could have been 15 pairs out of 32 with British interest. Add in if Luke was fit that would be half the draw.

That's not withstanding any of our top singles players wanting a go, although apart from Jack they would need higher ranked partners to be a direct acceptance.

So annoying to see the WC's go to waste. The two pairs noted are listed as the 13th and 15th alternates (out of 15) so well down the list. The last two direct entries have combined rankings of 65 and 70.

Yes

Mixed Doubles is basically a bit of fun

Really daft not to give out the full quota of GB wildcards

For the spectators with groundpasses in the second week, don't you think they'd rather watch unknown GB player rather than unknown someone else?

 Exactly and the two missing pairs that entered from GB of Tara/Billy and Mimi/JPJ are both pairings people would be interested in

I dont think the Brit alternates should have had wild cards TBH. Wondering if Mimi may play juniors as she is on the entry list and could be worth a go to get all the advantages that go with winning a junior slam. In that case she would be better concentrating on that rather than mixed. Indianas poin above is sad in a way. Must be so disheartening for those players.

 Correct, sorry. Re our women I had #3 Harriet playing rather than #9 Heather. And yes 9 of our top 10 men. Close
