Tennis Net?

Just watching Jack D at Queens on TV. I noticed the net seemed to be more saggy in the middle than I expected. I know the height of a net at the centre is the same on all courts as a standard requirement; question I had is whether the net has to be the same height all all parts along the net for all courts/nets - ie is it uniform from court court. eg, two feet in from the sideline, if Queens has the net at height x feet and y inches, is that exactly the same heigh as two feet in from the sideline at the event in Halle or Nottingham this week?

I know at my old tennis club it could vary slightly by whether we used singles or doubles posts, but wasnt sure if the pro game required absolute uniformity?

I believe that the only height regulations are about at the posts and at the centre (with a six inch difference), so some nets could go straight from point to point and others could be more curved.

... but I am not an umpire.

"The standard height of a tennis net is 3 fismeet 6 inches (1.07 meters) at the posts and 3 feet (0.914 meters) in the center<span ". The net is slightly lower in the middle to allow for fair play" Whatever that is. I've not corrected the Americanism.

Also I'm not an umpire.
