I don't think this issue has been fully reported before, though it may have been touched upon in the course of broader debates: the top10 players are agitating for even more dosh from the Grand Slams & are due to meet representatives of Wimbledon & the French, US & Oz Opens today to discuss their demands, initially set out in a joint letter the organisers of the four tournaments. It is unconnected with the more wide-ranging PTPA lawsuit reported by 9vicman in the thread he started in this forum in March, as explained by Stuart Fraser in a Times article published at the beginning of April. I have no problem with their lobbying for more money for players on the bottom rungs of the prize ladder, but the top dogs surely rake in more than enough to keep the wolf from the door.
