Arconada was runner-up in last weeks W75 at Templeton. H2H is 1-1, but some years ago, 2016 & 2017

No ways! I lived in Redding, CA for 4 years!! Never realised there was a pro tournament so close by! Might have gone if I'd known!

Tara hanging in there - just broke to level up the first set at 5-5.

Her singles game much as I remember it...big forehand that still does big damage, but fragile serve (quite a few doubles) and backhand.

I'm not watching, but it's now *5-6, 99 points, and 7-6 in DF's after 1 hour 18 minutes.

Arconada takes the first set 7-6(8). 127 points, 1 hour 39 minutes. If this goes the distance they'll still be playing tomorrow.
