Certainly, can't complain at that draw, all missing their section seeds in R1 and only one of these seeds being a top 8 seed.

I think Maia and Anna have the worst draw against the winners in Monterrey, although Liv and Tereza ran them close.

I'm hoping for a minimum of 4 wins, with a fair chance of all 6.

Though looking at the draw on the US Open app now, Katie B+ could face (8) Schuurs & Stefani in R2. Still decent and none down to face a top 5 seed before R3.

I still think they are reasonably tough draws: Noskova/Shnaider reached the semifinals at Cincinatti, Wang Xinyi is a Grand Slam champion, and Montgomery/Ngounoue reached the third round here last year.

Glad Heather and Muhammad have a decent draw as they came so close be seeded.Their second round opponents, Olmos and Panova, are beatable.

Sam+ lose their first set by 7-6(6). They had a SP against serve at 6-5* in the TB.

They lost the second 2-6 and thus also the match.

Katie+ were 2-6 *2-5 down but won 5 games in a row to take it into a 3rd set.

2-6 7-5

There waa an injury break for someone before the final game of the 2nd set.

Katie and Camilla lost the first set 2-6 and looked to be losing the second easily but have turned the situation
around and took the second 7-5,

The timeout was for one of the Chinese pair

R1:- Katie Boulter (GNR) / Anna Kalinskaya (***) CR580 (458+122) beat Xinyu Wang (CHN) / Saisai Zheng (CHN) CR106 (35+71) 2-6 7-5 6-2

Collins/Garcia put means Tara is in!

And a friendly draw against a wildcard pair, playing with Golubic.

Maybe not such a friendly draw, given the rankings of the US pair.

I'd say an extremely friendly draw for Tara+ for a Slam, looking at these near CH rankings for a pair in their mid 20s.

Not of course saying they will win but really couldn't have asked for much better.
