Sad to hear of the passing at just 59 years old of Peter Lundgren. Former coach of Federer, worked at the LTA for a good while and did a great job before being let go. I cant recall exactly, was there some issue with drinking and id heard it may have blighted his career and life.
by all accounts, a well liked and respected chap and sad to see him die young. Im 59 myself and it makes you stop and think.
He had diabetes and had a foot amputated a couple of years back. He was suspended and later left the LTA after allegedly being drunk at an event for coaches when he was due to be presenting. It was never confirmed I dont think but he certainly had health issues. He coached Hantuchova for a while and most latterly had some time with Stricker and at an academy in Houston
