Kristina has spent much of the summer in the States. I suspect, in between the UTR and ITA events she's played, she's probably has some serious training sessions with her college coaches in preparation for being promoted to a regular starting position in the coming college season.

Well, at least Colette thinks Kristina's star is rising:

"Wild card Carly Briggs, a recent Florida graduate, defeated qualifier McKenna Schaefbauer(South Carolina) 6-4, 6-0 today and will play rising NC State sophomore Kristina Paskauskas in the semifinals. Paskauska defeated Michigan freshman Emily Sartz-Lunde of Norway 7-6(2), 6-4."
