Alice will get in as a special exempt, or whatever they call it, won't she? As she's playing the final in Dublin today?
There must also be a couple of special exempts as the second person on the qualifying acceptance list is in qualis, only the top player must be in the main draw so there are three more possible spots to fill from there that must be taken elsewhere
I was at Aldershot yesterday, very friendly venue, and was able to watch parts of many hard fought matches. My main focus, however, was to watch Eleanor Dean as I had followed her since she was a junior and, like many on here, was very disappointed that injuries had prevented her from progressing. Now 28, she has an excellent game, and her match yesterday was exciting and very tense. A set down, she was 4-1 up in the second set, then 4-5 and 5-6 down before eventually losing a very close tie-break. I do hope she is able to continue and achieve some of that rich junior potential.

I was thinking of going to take some action photos. Do you know if they have any restrictions on cameras, lens sizes and tripods? Did you notice any other people using them? Is there plenty of car parking on site? I tried mailing the organisers but didn't get a reply.
I did not see many people with cameras so unable to help with that particular request. Mind you, there were very few spectators at all. It seemed to be a very laid back, casual arena and we were able to wander freely around the courts, mingling and chatting with players, and enjoying the on-site cafe. There was plenty of car parking available. We phoned the venue before travelling to check spectators were allowed, perhaps you could try that to get an answer about cameras. Enjoy!
I've taken action photos at Surbiton and Wimbledon qualifying without any problems, but the LTA can be a bit funny about requiring permission from players and organisers, particularly if juniors are playing (eg British Tour is practically a no-no).
Wimbledon don't allow tripods or lenses longer that 300mm actual length - I use a fairly small zoom for mine with no problems. I would think you would get away with photographs at Aldershot, but do check the LTA policy so you know what they might say.
