Here we go - players listed below - vote for your player of the month from this list. 
Poll will close 7.20 pm Tuesday 

1. Sonay Kartal - as a qualifier beating Sorana Cirstea WR29 in R1 of Wimbledon, who was nearly 200 places above her in rankings. Followed that up by beating Clara Burel WR45 in R2

2. Jake Fearnley - for winning his first grand slam singles match in straight sets, beating a player nearly 100 places above him in the rankings and earning a rankings rise of around 50 places. And for taking a set off Novak Djokovic in the second round; later in the month, Jake qualified for and has reached semis of Chicago Challenger 75, including a win over top seeded Atmane, his second best ranking scalp, ending the month with a CH just outside the top 200. 

3. Sir Andy Murray - for working his butt off just to get out there on court and play alongside his brother. Result doesn't matter. The man is a legend. Enough said.

4. Harriet Dart - for making the 3rd round of Wimbledon, equalling her best performance at a GS, beating Katie for only the second time in 7 meetings (previously only in 2018) and potentially securing a new CH of 81 after Wimbledon.

5. Marcus Willis/Alicia Barnett - for beating the 8th seeds and three times grand slam champions Dodig and Chan and on court One and did it with style. Reached the QF stage before bowing out on centre court. What a chance that was to play on a big court and they took it!

6. Dylan Davies - (age 16) for winning the singles AND the doubles titles in Dublin, in the J30, never having won a tournament before

7. Mark Ceban - (age 15) for reaching the third round of the Wimbledon Boys tournament as a wild card at just 15 years old. His two victories included a first-round defeat of the 5th seed.

8. Henry Patten - Wimbledon Mens Doubles Champion, 2024 with partner, Harri H, the happiest man in Finland! - unseeded, beat 4 seeded pairs on the way to the title (including two pairs who were top in the year-end race at the time). Wins over Skupski/ Venus and Purcell/ Thompson in semi final and final were outstanding. 28 year old Henry will rise from 42 to 17 in post Wimbledon rankings.

9. Megan Knight - (age 13) for reaching the semi-finals at the Wimbledon under 14 Invitational Singles, having topped her group even though she was a year younger than most of the other players.

10. Alfie Hewett - for winning the Wimbledon Wheelchair Mens singles title for the first time, on Court 1 and going back to world ranked number 1 as a result. Completing his career grand slam in the process. Also won the doubles title in the process with partner Gordon Reid

11. Hugo Coquelin - for gaining his first ever ranking point in the ITF tournament at Nottingham

12. Mingge Xu (Mimi) - for reaching the singles semi and doubles final (with Katie Swan) at the ITF W50 in Nottingham. Beat Marni WR242 and Anita Raina WR263 before giving Heather a tight match in the SF. Mimi and Katie beat the experienced doubles pair of Maddy and Beth in the SF and and only lost the final in the MTB 8-10

13. Heather Watson - for winning the W50 at Nottingham. I realise this is drop in level for her, but none to less it's lovely to see her winning again after some tough losses this year.

3 players deserved this for me - Jake for sure and its almost impossible not to think Henry Patten wont win this.

For me those two and Alfie are impossible to split and I cant see how I cant not support the man who won two titles and the biggest title of his career in winning Wimbledon singles, particularly as I champion wheelchair tennis here.

So Ive voted Alfie with a big nod to Jake and a bigger nod to Henry

Jake for me, for following up the great results he had in June with a lovely Wimbledon debut and then some more good results at a lower level, thereby consolidating/continuing his progress upwards.

But I was also tempted by Henry and Alfie, both of whom did brilliantly.

I dont plan to do lots of updates this time. Maybe one in the morning and one tomorrow evening and ditto Tuesday.

I tried to change my vote to Marcus & Olivia, but was unable. My daughter had a first time visit to Wimbledon. She started on court 2 and on my recommendation stayed there to watch Marcus & Olivia and absolutely loved their match. Marcus was deffo player of the month for our family.
