E. Appleton (#353) vs E. Jacquemot (FRA, #151)

A. Rajecki (#740) vs A. Rodionova (AUS, #101, 7th seed)

M. Xu (#692) vs I. Oz (TUR, #260)

K. Dunne (#331) vs T. Lukas (CRO, #224)

H. Klugman (#623) vs P. Marcinko (CRO, #265)

Week 26 - WIMBLEDON QUALIFIERS

Anyone else going tomorrow? Would be nice to meet up if so. Travelling solo tomorrow (only 40 mins to be fair) - everyone gets excited when I mention Wimbledon tickets, less excited when I tell them it's qualifying and we'll be moving around exclusively supporting British nextgen players!

No easy draws at this level, but Emily's seems quite tough - Ilkley semifinalist, followed maybe by Tan (Surbiton semi-finalist) and Gadecki (Surbiton semi-finalist).

Janicijevic, Lukas and Marcinko all will be playing on grass for the first time this year.

Is Mlad the same one who once was a top top player? I remember her playing g mixed doubles against Murray and Robson (I think) and she smashed them both off the park. I hope the next Gen do well, but none of the three have excelled on the grass so far this year

Yes, it is Kristina Mladenovic who had a singles CH of 10 in 2017and doubles no 1 in 2019. Hasn't been doing so well in singles this year, but still has a doubles ranking of 55

I think this might be the women's thread, but WOW, I meant to watch that match of Jay's on stream but forgot.  What a treat to be there fantastic.

Marni opens on the televised court, with Mimi third and Ilkley winner Rebecca Marino 4th

I do not think Rodionova is 100% fit at the moment so maybe a decent chance for Amelia.

Yes, going tomorrow with my husband. 2 to 2.5 hour journey for us too. Whilst walking to the courts last year, I said it would be the only time wed go but we had such a good day that well put up with the travel time. Great value, very relaxed and easy to get tickets.

Might see you there - red and white striped shirt this year, not the blue and white check shirt  wink
