Her opponent is decided by their Q1 match and then Beth will face the winner later on.

FQR- Sarah Beth Grey WR389 [1] v Aoi Ide (JPN) UNR/UNR/16yo-UNR [WC]

A bit of a dark horse here. Ide has only played a handful of ITF and junior matches (none in the last year) but beat the WR715 in QR1

First set gone 1-6. Beth's serving percentage was only 38% and her second serve was punished. An and early break down in the second set.

Looks like Sarah has sorted her serve out finally. Now a break up in the 2nd set.

Not sure, but I think that Beth trailed 1-6, 0-2...

then won the next 12 games.

She seemed to be overhitting a lot early on, so hopefully has now adjusted to playing on carpet.

Beth has periods when she either overhits or catches the top of the net - presumably from a lack of topspin. But when it all clicks she is giod off both wings. (I've never played myself, just watched her a lot over the years)
