Possible match with Anna in the QF's. Em should be fluent in Georgian by the end of this trip.

I always look at the ranking of the 4th or 6th best seed in qualis, and then the 12th or so - a sort of layman's way of working out the median

I think just the top player is a bit misleading - there's sometimes wildcards in there, or one local player with a misleadingly high ranking and then it falls off a cliff

But it most certainly does pay to shop around

And both Emily and Jizel are up and running - allez, girls !

Four of the qualifying spots in the main draw are Q v Q so fingers crossed for them both.

I make that a third counter for Em (6 points from Surbiton and 1 from St Malo) so she will get her ranking back - although only for a few weeks as St Malo drops off next month.
