Katie Vs Giorgi could be a lot of fun, two heavy hitters with lots of aggression.

Giorgi is either on it or really error strewn. If she is on it, she is so difficult to play. Katie has the power and consistency to force Camilla into making numerous errors.

I realise that 18-year-old Liv Hovde beat Sevastova 2 & 4 in QR1, but Harriet really ought not to be struggling like this against a wildcard.

Harriet's first serve is not there today, and she's been broken three times (recovered one) to lose the first set 2-6

Nothing else is there at the moment either

The number of inside out forehands she missed......no

She beat Sasnovich - a good win, but as you say Harriet ought to be doing better.

For some reason I have always got those two mixed up - and I checked the draw before typing !

One to be forgotten asap

As PaulM says, a thoroughly painful match to watch

Nothing of any positive nature at all for Harriet

Hoping some of the Brits can do well at Indian Wells.
I am knocking off one of my bucket list trips as am there from Friday to the following Thursday and have tickets for each day.
Will try and send some live updates. . .

How wonderful !  That is brilliant.  Some effort to organise too I imagine.

 It wasnt too bad actually.

Tickets started becoming available last summer and they sold them as packages for first weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun), middle days (Tues/Weds/Thurs) and then final weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun). So I have a reserved seat on stadium 1 and then access to unreserved seats on all other courts. I like going for the earlier rounds because there is more going on and obviously the better chance of some Brit action so i have the first weekend and the middle days packages and then i bought the Monday ticket as well.

My first day is Friday so will miss the first round and my last day is next Thursday and all 8 QF matches are being played that day so that will be a pretty good day to finish on.

Once tickets were sorted, flights and hotel were pretty straightforward really. Flew into Dallas and then down to Palm Springs. It is very interesting being in the desert with the backdrop of snow on the mountains all around and a lovely time of year to be here.

Apologies if i am boring you all but i am so excited to be here and looking forward to tennis action later in the week and will update on the live tennis as i go.
