I see Mansour got a wild card with a local player. But he and Luke are back together in Dubai next week, or at least entered together.

L28:  (Q) Alexandre Müller (FRA) WR 73 (CH = 71 last month) vs Andy Murray WR 50

That's not going to be a cakewalk.

Andy's actually won a match!

L28:  Andy Murray WR 50 defeated (Q) Alexandre Müller (FRA) WR 75 by 6-1 7-6(5)

A bit easier than I expected.

*****

L16:  Andy Murray WR 50 vs Jakub Mensik (CZE) WR 116 (= CH)

That's not going to be a cakewalk, either.  Mensik beat the fifth seed, Davidovich (WR 24), in straight sets in his first round match.

Go, Andy! Really good he got over the line in the tiebreak (and that was a beautiful return winner on the final point) as a third set might have been too much of a struggle.

A fairly lengthy report from the Beeb.

L16:  Jakub Mensik (CZE) WR 116 defeated Andy Murray WR 50 by 7-6(6) 6-7(3) 7-6(4)  in three hours & 24 minutes  cry

The young (he's 18, so half Andy's age) Czech served for the match twice in the second set & twice again before the tie-break in the third.

Why does Andy end up playing matches of 3 hrs 30 mins doesn't do his body much good.
I never watched the match was pretty sure the Czech would win.
