Here we go, a long 5 weeks and 23 bumper nominations.
Two groups of 11 and 12 respectively. I have kept the groups aligned to how they were nominated with a small adjustment at the end to allow for roughly even numbers of men and women in each group (7M and 4F in group 1 and 7M and 5F in group 2, respectively)
I hope the groups feel quite even, but it isnt always possible, but I hope I have relatively evenly split seniors and juniors, team and individuals, singles and doubles as well as men and women.
Vote for your Player of the Month and, if possible, please so who and why!
The top 3 from each group (plus ties) will go through to the final - so quite brutal and no room for messing around or not voting!!
This semifinal voting will CLOSE IN 24 HOURS FROM NOW SO AT 4PM MONDAY. THE FINAL WILL POSTED SHORTLY THEREAFTER.
Here are the group contenders:
2 Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid - winning the ITF World Wheelchair Masters title, perfect record during the week and came from behind to win the final - marvellous as always!
4. Luke Johnson - for regaining his singles ranking, with a win in his first singles match since Feb 2023.
6. Billy Harris - for taking out his CH ranking again (and again), for getting through qualies in Sofia and then winning his first ever ATP Main Tour MD match in a 3rd set breaker.
8. Emilie Lindh - for reaching a W25 SF, a W25 Final (both from qualifying) and a QF in a W40, having never got past a QF in a W25 before. Along the way she got 4 of her top 5 career high wins by ranking, including a career high ranking win. As a result she increased her ranking 210 places to a career high WR 442 and into the top 500 for the first time.
10. Sarah Beth Gray/Eden Silva - for winning the biggest title of their careers for both of them, the W60+H in Calgary. Neither Beth or Eden have won a title at W60+H before.
12. GB Women's BJK Cup Team - for their victory over Sweden, advancing them to the 2024 qualifiers.
14. Allegra Korpanec Davies (born 2007) - for doing the double, winning the J60 singles and doubles titles in Bahrain, and then following up with the singles title at J60 Glasgow
16: Samantha Murray Sharan - for reaching two ITF doubles finals, including taking the title with Lissey Barnett in the W40 in Luxembourg, in her quest to increase her ranking to enable her to return to the main WTA tour in 2024.
18. Greg Slade - won the ITF 2 series (like an ATP 250) Open ParaTennis de Loiret, winning the quad singles and doubles unseeded, his first titles at this level.
19. Jay Clarke - After so many injuries Jay finally gets some wins under his belt and takes the title in the 25k in Turkey and then added the doubles title for good measure.
22. Max Carrier - age 16, won his first J60 singles and also took the doubles title in Glasgow
23. Alistair Gray - For winning the Madrid M15 title - his first in a long time as he comes back from such a long injury lay-off
This group had 3 of my contenders - Alfie and Gordon are close but no cigar, Allegra might have got it if she HAD won singles and doubles in two events!!
But for sheer effort, Billy Harris gets it as well as for achieving a massive career milestone!

I should also add I considered Emilie as a contender for
Finding this group more difficult. Billy and Emilie are my main contenders. May have to think about it tomorrow when the effects of the wine have worn off!!!

Sane two for me. I too will come back to this.
Yes, I'm in the same boat of thinking they've both done really great things this month that should be recognised. But I'm going for Billy for proving that he doesn't just look like he should be able to hold his own at the next (ATP250) level but has actually done it.
Nice jump to 16 votes and we have 5 players in the game. Remember this round is to find 3 to go through to the final so if the third place is tight all votes for any player could make a difference !
