Freya s game is all power hard hitting but plenty mistakes in Glasgow no variety to her game. It's disappointing she was once a good prospect in singles . Remember the epic second round qualifying match at Roehampton which she lost after being held over to a second day.

Yes, me too - a crushing defeat out of the jaws of victory
I think that was the start of all her back problems
I also think that was the match that highlighted really poor coaching (and lucidity from Freya)
That match was absolutely in her pocket - all she had to do was come in and take the ball out of the air on about three or four really easy points - she had the woman on a piece of string
It would have been over and done and dusted
But it dragged on and on, as a back of the court match, messed up her back, upset her dreadfully and it all went downhill
However, tbh, I'm glad she's going for a bit of power again, mistakes or no
Those matches a few years ago where she chipped and sliced and refused to hit her forehand were just torture
But I honestly believe her career would have been very different if she'd won that Roehampton match, as she 100% should have done
