Away tie looks odds on here. South America in February would be clay Id guess and tricky but Norrie did win this year on clay so perhaps ok for us.

So we go straight into the group stage which we are due to partly host for another three years.

They are awarding wild cards to two of the host nations for the group stage of the 2024 Davis Cup Finals. Another host Italy, will also secure automatic qualification. If Britain had lost to Colombia in the 2023 Qualifiers, they wouldn't have been able to host the group stage. It's by no means a given, but you can see why organisers would want to ensure that the hosts qualify.

This wild card award garbage is simply protecting profit or even credibility, it is anti competitive and didn't happen under the old rules. Basically host nations are being protected so that the stadiums won't be empty, its a shambles really.

TBD, as far as I am aware. The year before it was in Glasgow.

I remember the LTA saying that they hope to or plan to take the Davis Cup experience around the UK so I'd imagine Manchester and Glasgow will be ruled out so Leeds a possibility JonH; ).

I keep checking The Daily Mail to see if anything has been mentioned but nothing yet, not even venues saying that they are interested.

Thanks Shaun. Leeds Arena was built with one of the avowed aims to host Davis Cup and other tennis events. It can hold 14000 for concerts, maybe less for tennis.

lets see - probably Birmingham more likely Id guess.

Would be nice for Dan if it was Birmingham. Always put a good shift in on Davis Cup duty be nice if he could play near home.
