British ITF events 2024

Not sure if there is a wider document setting out the events for the 2024 season, but just noticed this on ITF calendar. Apologies if this is posted somewhere else!

Women

January

Week 2 ( think it is week 2) - W35 Loughborough

Week 3 - W35 Sunderland

February

Week 6 - W50 Edgbaston

Week 7 - W50 Roehampton

Men

Week2 - M25 Loughborough

Week 3 - M25 Sunderland

I do wonder if there are fewer mens ITFs because they are going to have some low level ATP Challenger events? One of the things the LTA said when the ATP/WTA fined them was that an impact of the fine would mean they would no longer be able to go ahead with a number of low level ATP Challenger events they had planned for the first quarter of 2023. If that was the planning this year, then it is probably the plan for next year.

ah - I assumed with it being posted Nov 23 it would be the 2024 calendar and didnt look at the heading (as the main ATP Tour one covered 2024 as well).

I will delete my post then

Was just looking at the 2024 calendars and had the same question about the a possible week 6/7 Challenger 50 event for the men. Will be strange if there isnt. Especially the week at Roehampton as that is clearly LTA led event.

The ATP challenger calendar looks like it was updated on Friday the Men have two ATP Challenger 50s in week 6/7. In Nottingham & Glasgow.

Looking at the Glasgow CH50. It could end up pretty stacked. No other Challenger in Europe that week. Although Ch50 has a restriction on players in the top 150 entering. A wc can be given to a player ranked 50-100 who is the same nationality as the event and one wc to anyone ranked 100-150.

Not sure if something is up with the week 2 events in Loughborough. All the other events for that week are showing entry lists on the ITF site for both men and womens events but neither of the Loughborough events have a list. Might be nothing but a bit strange.

It's been happening for most recent British ITFs that acceptance lists are published later than other ITFs the same week. It's very frustrating.

As I thought might be the case, looks like the UK Pro League has gone.

Thanks Madadman- looks like the UKPL is done for then? They showed all of those on here in last seasons version.

The LTA and River Media Partners remain in discussion around a partnership to support the
staging of the UK Pro League in 2024 which would see further events added to the calendar. We are hopeful that subject to securing the necessary commercial partners, the UKPL will be able to proceed and if so, tournament dates will be confirmed at the earliest opportunity.

Thanks Lambda - interesting, was that on the LTA site or the UKPL own site?
