The British Universities Doubles Championships 2023 were held at The Shrewsbury Club this weekend.
Men Top seeds Loughborough's Michael Shaw and Ryan Golesworthy defeated Stirling's Liam Hignett and Rob Cowley to take the title. For winning the title, Michael and Ryan receive a doubles WC to a British M25 in January.
Women Third seeds, Stirling's Erika Campbell and Halle Pringle finished runners-up to Nottingham's Marie Mattel (FRA) and Rebeka Stolmar (HUN) (#10 pair in the curtailed NCAA Div 1 doubles 2019-20 while playing for Central Florida). A WC to a W35 in January was also on offer, but as the winning team are not a British pairing it is not awarded.
In the SF Erika and Halle defeated former US college players Emma Bardet (Florida Gulf Coast) and Vasiliki Karvouni (Minnesota), now at Loughborough.
