Harriet a very late withdrawal here following reaching the SF in Glasgow. According to the tournament a couple of days ago she was also down to play doubles with Asia Muhammad.

can Heather overhaul Maia this week , or is it unlikely? Any idea on their respective schedules for November?

Can't happen this week unless Maia loses her next match and Heather wins the tournament. And Heather will miss a week with the BJK cup. No idea what their plans are this month.

Kalinskaya takes a tumble and Heather is straight up to the net asking if she's ok. She comes round the net to walk with AK back to their seats. I suspect she'll be ok but we'll see, she had a very long week in Mexico (losing the final in a third set breaker)

Loses 3 deuce games in a row early in the third and it's pretty much curtains.

1-4*

She's been a bit unlucky with the draw here, her level is not bad at all.

Heather does a brilliant job to get from *1-5 to 4-5*, gets a break point, but it's saved and she loses 6-4 6-4.

Disappointing to be leaving the last two weeks without a singles win.
