Just for info, there is also this event taking place in Glasgow this week:

"The TS Open Tour National Doubles Championships will take place for the first time between 9-12 November at Scotstoun Leisure Centre in Glasgow.

The tournament is part of the enhanced TS Open Tour circuit and, with a total prize pot of £10,000, is set to become the biggest doubles event at British Tour level."

The breakdown per pair is as follows:

Winner: £2000
Runner-up: £1000
Semi-final: £500
Quarter-final: £250

The inaugural event has already sparked interest among top Scottish players on the pro circuit, including Scott Duncan with partner Marcus Willis, as well as former world number 17 Colin Fleming, who has entered alongside Alan MacDonald, long-time coach of Jamie Murray."

96 doubles pairs (across men's and women's) is enormous. (And like the fact the juniors are involved in tie-break 10s)

 Great to see Colin back in action, I wonder what he is doing more widely these days?

In the ATP doubles for the final week of the regular season, we have:

Metz - Jamie (w/Michael Venus); Lloyd (w/John Peers);

Sofia - Julian (w/Nikolas Mektic); Henry (w/ Francisco Cabral)

FWIW Peers and Mektic are together as alts in Paris next week, as the players merry go round at the end of the season continues. At this stage, race points dont matter for many of them, that goose is cooked, and it is about money and ranking points. New pairs will no doubt start to unfold for 2024 soon though.

Good to see Fran still on the Dominican Republic entry list after her recent Shrewsbury retirement.

And Julian with Mektic in Sofia is quite a bonus for Julian, getting noticed by the big players

Andy into the seeded positions in Metz due to withdrawals, obviously a high ranked WC could change that. Would at least mean hed avoid de Minaur till at least the QFs!

 Rune, Hurkacz, ADM and Khachanov may all withdraw as well as the Paris week plays out and they do or dont still need points for Turin. Could see Andy move higher than 8th spot over the next couple of days! And see Jack move into the main draw and Jan move higher up the qualifying seedings as well.

May well be movement in the doubles lists for similar reasons, both here and Sofia
