Well this definitely confirms that Freya and Ali have split up, although clearly both are sill focussing on doubles. Interesting

Never really rated Ali Collins big hype in junior days and friends with the Murrays.
Saw her in Glasgow few years back looks immaculate on court but the tennis is not!

Yes, this was always my take too

And I didn't think Nik Slater did a good job as coach either - she went from being a girl who hit the ball properly, and had the makings of a tidy game, to one obsessed with chips, and messing it up.

It seems to be a professional decision rather than anything else. Freya has more potential in dubs I feel than that partnership could give her.

Is Naiktha not playing this week, or somewhere else?

L16:- Freya Christie (GBR) / Yuliana Lizarazo (COL) CR248 (134+114) def Emily Appleton (GBR) / Anna Siskova (CZE) CR220 (135+85) (4)6-7 6-2 10-7

Just to note, 29 points for a first round win. Only Emily W-S, Lily and Maia can improve with just one win. The others all have a lowest counter of 29 points or more

Well done. I watched 15 mins of that and it was a fair score. Jodie certainly serving well in the bit I saw.

Yeah her game was just too big on this surface for Snigur. Couple of loose patches of play that made it a bit messy but always in command.

I notice Harriet played here last year and i'm surprised she hasn't returned. I do think these 125s provide excellent opportunities for our girls to pick up some useful points. Heather and Harriet are both playing in the Portugal 40K, but I would have thought they could aim a bit higher when the opportunity arises. Delighted to see Lily in the main draw.
