I've a feeling that Hollie Smart's name is going to be a frequent one on this forum in years to come.
So it's about time she had her own thread.
Hollie was born in June 2009.
She's a tall, slender girl. Plays quite a defensive game. After Hannah Klugman, she is pretty much the LTA's top pick for her age (although Edie Griffiths is up there too)
I believe she comes from London, with tennis sporting parents, who are very keen to let her come on at her own pace, not be hot-housed.
She's played a lot of Tennis Europe events (very little ITF)
And she made the final of the U14 Wimbledon Championships 2023.
But has just won the title at the J60 ITF event in Greece, despite being still 14 years old.
Thank you Shhh, although I don't take any real credit for Hollie i.e. she's been pretty high on the LTA radar for a while. But it is nice when you see them moving up to the next stage. Hollie's only played four ITF events, and she's already got two titles out of that, a J60 in Rhodes and today's J30 at Loughborough
