1 Freya Peet - born in 2008 - has just won the J100 singles title in Botswana (having won the J60 singles title last week). She was about JWR 1300 two weeks ago, and beat the 3rd seed, ranked 344 today.

Nomination - October 2023

1 Freya Peet - born in 2008 - has just won the J100 singles title in Botswana (having won the J60 singles title last week). She was about JWR 1300 two weeks ago, and beat the 3rd seed, ranked 344 today.

2 Sam Murray - returning to competitive tennis after maternity leave, winning the W25 doubles title (with Olivia Gadecki from Australia) in her first tournament back.

Sam won the third ever player of the month in March 2020. It was a strange one though as Covid hit that month and stopped tennis halfway into the month. Nonetheless we had a vote and Sam won it, with 100 percent of the vote, if I recall correctly , although we only had something like 18 voters.

I cant find the thread as at that time I went made on fantasy polls to humour us all, little did we know what would happen going forwards .

But, yep, Sams a past Pom winner !

Back 5-6 years ago, just looking at the 2002-ers, both Arthur and Felix were very low on the LTA interest list. All focus was on Toby Samuel, Ben Heynold etc etc. Supporting the underdogs, as always, it's very heartening to see both Arthur and Felix doing well. And if the LTA were right about Toby, at least, then all the better

5. Billy Harris - for taking out WR 42 and former Top 10 player Roberto Bautista Agut in Malaga for a Career Best ranking scalp and guaranteeing himself a new CH ranking in the process.
