Baseball

My family and I are going to our first ever baseball match tomorrow, Miami Marlins versus LA Dodgers, in Miami.

from what I can tell, Miami are fighting to playoff wild cards place, Dodgers are leading the league and look good. Same teams are playing tonight and also Thursday in A triple header.

no idea what to expect - well, a hot dog and a bud light of course! But other than that, haha. Should be fun though!

ps never done NBA or NHL or NFL, although when the London Knights existed , went to see them play the New York team in the old World League at the Giants Stadium , which was fun.

Im told theyve tried to shorten it this season and to expect 3! Either way, not expecting excitement ! But should be interesting in a watching other people sort of way!

its really hot and humid here , so not sure how bearable it will be in the evening heat. Im already a mosquito patchwork quilt from earlier this week.

i Wont fall for the Brooklyn ploy though !

Marlins won 11-4 and we thoroughly enjoyed the event! Maybe a 15000 crowd, havent checked. Indoor arena they use, Loan Depot Park its known as - holds maybe 36000.

Good vibe, very family friendly event, fabulous catering . Parking a bit stressful and getting to the arena. And lots of time with no action but the big home runs moments made up for it! Very good !

Glad to here you enjoyed it smile

Walter O'Malley took the Dodgers to LA.

"If you asked a Brooklyn Dodger fan, if you had a gun with only two bullets in it and were in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and O'Malley, who would you shoot? The answer: O'Malley, twice!"

Not baseball but watched some of the basketball World Cup today and Germany beat USA- announcers could hardly believe it, hilarious. They love to call themselves world champions in their big 4 sports but certainly in basketball, it isnt clear cut, nor baseball and definitely not hockey !
