16. GB Davis Cup Team - For getting through to the finals in Malaga in the most dramatic fashion.
Given that we have a nomination for the GB team and also one for Dan largely in the context of his individual performance in that tie (plus US Open efforts) we clearly have the potential for both taking votes off each other.
So, to try and get round that (at least at first) we will definitely go for a two round of voting approach this time, with Dan and GB Davis Cup in different groups (Jack D noted as well).
They may clash in a final but that cant be avoided, but for now we can at least see where the initial groups take us.
So there will be a semi stage, vote for that will go up Monday 2nd October and last 24 hours and then the vote for the Final will go up Tuesday 3rd October and also last for 24 hours.

Business end of week 4 of 5. Remember, nominations will close in 10 days time, Sunday October 1st.
Just 8 days left. With 16 nominations, Im actually wondering whether it really makes any difference if I split it into two groups due to GB Davis Cup team and Dan Evans both being nominated, the clash will come up regardless whether it be a semi or final and probably wouldnt matter. It is what it is.
So , volte face, if we stay at 20 nominations or fewer we will stick with one single final vote. If we get above 20, and we still easily could or maybe should, we will split it into groups, as the polling tool wont support those numbers in one group.
But I do anticipate we may go above 20 and this have already drafted out what two groups might be.
Liam will go on the list, I'm sure. But we're all waiting to see how far he gets this week !
Absolutely - and there are a few others that could easily get on with a good weekend, Ryan being one for sure, and another week to go. So I do anticipate more than 20 still, I just dont want to do two rounds unless it becomes absolutely necessary!

Personally I'd prefer 2 groups, principally down to the Dan vs GB team 'clash' - they both indeed may make the final but I don't presume that, and if possibly avoidable worth it because it could well matter, splitting some Davis Cup inclined voters.

And as said it is going to be a big field anyway.
Im always flexible and Im also very malleable - so done, its cool, and Ive moved back and forth with it. First world problems! So two groups!
Does the Chinese event next week also go to the Wednesday for the final? Wondering if I need to cater for that or just leave it for a Sunday close for the month on the 1st October?
Im inclined to stick with a Sunday 1st close and let any event finishing afterwards to count towards October / the sepetemvber period is already quite a long 5 week one without extending
Some people may be waiting to see the result of the final tomorrow, but I'm not going to wait.
