Matilda is WTA 880 in my 28th Aug WTA list (as above)
I use the old ranking for the qualifying matches and switch to the new rankings for the main draw matches. The ITF seem do much the same, updating to the new rankings once the Q matches have all been drawn.

No problem - each to their own
Makes sense to me for quali draws that start on Sunday
But why would you use the old ranking for a qualifying match that plays on Monday, (and the whole quali draw starts on Monday), when the new rankings have already come out on Monday?

Using the old rankings for all the Q matches makes it consistent, otherwise you would end up with some matches in the later rounds using the old and some the new rankings as the results don't all come out together. You might even end up with one player under the old rankings and their opponent under the new rankings. If R1 draws come out on a Sunday I first post using the old rankings and then edit them with the new rankings on the Monday.
There doesn't seem to me any risk of inconsistencty in an event that doesn't get put up until Monday - it's 100% new rankings - but it may well be inconsistent with other events
As said, we all have our own ways
It faintly irritates me every time I see the draws written out in a linear fashion and not in a symmetric mirror image across the middle line fashion as they are in all official programmes and sites - the second seed has to be the first name in their match listing, just as the first seed is in theirs - but it hardly matters - and it comes under the 'get a life' direction to myself
Just to say in case it doesn't come across, I appreciate, along with the rest of the board, anyone who puts up results, draws etc. I hesitate to name names because I risk leaving someone out by mistake but I appreciate all of you.
