 IIRC they sneaked in last year after withdrawals so wouldn't be surprised to see them in New York just in case.

 It is a possibility, although our doubles girls all seem to be taking a mid-season holiday break at the moment.

Thanks. Apropos of nothing the men's and women's cut offs are almost identical: 144 and 143. So Brits needing to be aiming for a Top 70 ranking to make the cut off.
