Lauryn was a late withdrawal yesterday. Marni withdrew ages ago - not sure if any other withdrawals are possible WC's. Any juniors on the radar ?

Also missing are Raina and Mimi.
Not sure if Isabelle is fully fit.

Expect Katy to withdraw.
Ella is out of favour and not getting a wildcard again, but to be fair results don't justify it.

Hasn't Ella used up her wildcard allowance by now? She's certainly had quite a lot this year.

Mimi was off playing Billie Jean King Juniors, I don't think she'll be here.....

Lovely to see some different names in the qualis wildcard suggestions, especially some of the US college girls

It appears to be the European Summer Cup U16 Finals in the Czech Republic this coming week, which like this past week's qualifiers will presumably involve Mimi and Hep.

Mimi, Hep and Hannah are playing European Summer Cup aka Junior BJK Cup qualifiers so won't be here.

Isabelle, Ciara Moore and Sally Pethybridge have earned WCs available for this swing.

I'd suggest Isabelle, Ranah and Mika as 3 of the WCs.

Although Ella has had a lot of WCs this year she still has her full allowance for ITFs available as the only one (for ITFs) that counts is the one at Roehampton a couple of weeks ago and she gets that back as a merit WC. The others don't count as she didn't get any WTA ranking points with them.

And just to note someone has taken a SE as Ozgen, 2nd on the qualifying acceptance list and who would have moved to the main draw if no SEs were taken, is in qualifying. Katy is the only one I can find in the qualifying list who is eligible for a SE.

Patricia Tig is in qualifying here as 12th seed. However using her special ranking of 65 she is a direct entry into the US Open.

Her record this year is pretty dismal - 4 wins and 5 losses - the 4 wins were in W15's - 2 in Bacau and 2 in Bucharest, both on clay. Doesn't look like the trip to NY will be worthwhile - apart from the money of course !!

I wonder if Given Roach has a wildcard, to get her a ranking?

Ozgen has moved to the main draw causing a bit of reshuffling not affecting GB women. Surprised there's no alternates to fill the vacant spot.

Is this coz of Chong withdrawing from the main draw?

As for the lack of alternates, it is utterly stupefying that the main tennis centre in the land does not have immediate access to someone who could take that spot
