Yes, it makes sense - she far prefers clay, her family live out there too (or Dad was in Switzerland, and mum in Spain, at any rate, don't know now)
But she's 21 now, lots of those academy players do also play on other surfaces of course, she'll obviously have played a fair bit on hard too, and it surely would make some sense to play a few hard events that give you the chance of better points and where you might get some help by being British (i.e. she would qualify directly or get a wildcard into the 25k event qualis in the UK, and maybe could possibly swing a MD wildcard?)
