Week 31 - ITF W15 - Savitaipale, Finland - Clay

Doubles

L16:- Margarita Ignatjeva (LAT) / Anna Ozerova (LAT) (800+986) [3] v Eleanor Baglow (GBR) / Daria Kuczer (POL) CR2649 (1184+1465)

Eleanor should be in the singles main draw - which probably won't be out until Tuesday as the final qualifying round is yet to be played

She could do with a doubles point - nothing off untiil mid-Semptember.

Singles - 2 off in August 1 in September.

Seems to avoid UK tournaments - don't know if she gets an invite.

She doesn't play in GB because she only plays clay and we don't have any clay tournaments. The preference for clay coming from living in Spain for nearly 10 years and being based at the JC Ferrero-Equelite Academy during her junior years.

Yes, it makes sense - she far prefers clay, her family live out there too (or Dad was in Switzerland, and mum in Spain, at any rate, don't know now)

But she's 21 now, lots of those academy players do also play on other surfaces of course, she'll obviously have played a fair bit on hard too, and it surely would make some sense to play a few hard events that give you the chance of better points and where you might get some help by being British (i.e. she would qualify directly or get a wildcard into the 25k event qualis in the UK, and maybe could possibly swing a MD wildcard?)
