16 Arthur Fery/Stuart Parker - for winning their first M25 doubles trophy together.
17 Emile Hudd & Johannus Monday - for winning their first M25 doubles trophy together, at Roehampton (with Emile only being ranked ATP 1475)
18. Hannah Klugman - gained her first WTA ranking at WR1095, the youngest person and only 14 year old with a WTA ranking. She was runner up in Junior Wimbledon doubles and reached last 16 in the singles.
19. Heather Watson - for sticking it out through far too many rain stoppages and winning the WTA250 doubles title in Warsaw with Yanina Wickmayer (where she also reached the quarter final).
For me, it came down to one of our Wimbledon winners - of the 4 candidates, 2 stood out in terms of the impact of their win and its place in their career, Henry S and Neal S. Any other time, Henry would be my vote, but Neal won Wimbledon mens doubles and that is hard to surpass. Henry's time will come again.
I tactically voted for Bains/Lumsden because I couldn't decide between Neal and Henry. But also, ending a drought of 40 years is reason enough in itself.
Yep. I know what I said when Liam beat Caspar Ruud, but I have gone for Neal Skupski. Winning Wimbledon Men's Doubles (his first slam at this event) and consolidating his position as Nš1 in the world.
Have voted for Neal. Such a significant and timely win for him when some people were starting to question the partnership in terms of performances at majors and titles in 2022.
Up to 15 votes now - this vote may have a strange pattern as a) I posted it later last night b) it is summer holidays c) July is historically one of the quietest months in terms of voting.
So I am expecting a slow drop of the votes over the next day and a half; hopefully we will get somewhere in the 30's.
At the moment we have 15 votes and it is all quite tight at the top of the table.
