Week 37 - Davis Cup Finals, Group Stage - (Indoor Hard)

Im on a train so cant watch but Andy seems to have lost the ability to win points quickly, its always a massive war of attrition even against players he should put away.

Murray very few FH or BH winners in the first. It's only going to be his own mistakes that beats the Swiss here I feel.

In all 4 opening ties today, the hometown player is losing. And the first set of matches on Wednesday for these teams went poorly as well, GB apart.

Home advantage not working it seems

Superb break in the first game of the third set. This match is breaking this way and that.

Ramos vinolas loses the opening singles in Valencia and with Djoko playing the next singles, Id say Spain are as good as out of the event - which means the finals in Malaga will have no home team.

Id say that is a disaster - fans will be scarce Id reckon, it probably serves the organisers right though.

Sometimes things gotta get worse before they get better.. That would be the hope here that it triggers a rethink.

What could certainly make it worse is no home team and the other nations being trans continental and small in population, say Australia, Canada, Serbia and Chile..

3-2 up in the third as Murray breaks again! Can't really predict who might win this..
