Probably the 2 that deserved it most have got through to the FQR in Anna and Billy. Both have did things their own way with little backing so its ironic in a lot of ways they are doing well. Keep it going guys

To put Mimi's match yesterday into some sort of perspective, I see that Storm Hunter has just beaten Avanesyan, the top seed, in two tie-break sets.

I saw Storm beat Heather in Glasgow last year. Shes a very handy singles as well as a top class doubles player. Cant quite work out how she hasnt had her singles ranking very high

I think these 2 wins this week are Anna's 2 biggest by ranking?

Looks like it. WR 182 beating her previous best of WR 185 from April this year and then a leap to take out the WR 98.

Also these 2 young guns she has dispatched have JCHs of 1 and 2.

I totally agree.  I always felt Anna was deserving of a QWC and shouldn't have been made to go through the play offs.  I'm delighted she has proved herself worthy and in doing so has achieved career high ranking wins (as per Steven on Twitter).  Wish her all the best of luck in final qualifying.
