Another Challenger title this week would take Andy to 1030 ranking points and more within range of a Wimbledon seeding if he had a pretty good Queen's week.

Though if he reached the final at Queen's that in itself would probably be enough

If Andy were to win the title here (lets not get ahead of ourselves but its certainly possible)  then the quarter finals at Queens may just squeak him over the line for a Wimbledon seeding.  I imagine he did the maths and on that basis took the wild card for here.  I would have thought that was a more likely route than Queens finalist(?)

and if he can have a few Russian players who's visas dont get approved, that would help as well!!

Good win by Ryan, I think, and solid set of players through there - not really had time to follow today. I see George is also looking strong?

Nice win for George helped considerably by Otto serving 2 consecutive doubles at 6-5 in the tiebreak (he led 6-3)

That will be both Arthur and George into the top 400 for the first time.

They are now respectively live ranked 382 and 392, GB #11 and #12. A R2 win here for either would take them into the GB top 10 with nothing to defend before August.

We've recently fallen way off having 10 in the top 250 but these two could be a part of it coming to pass sometime in the future.

And if they both win their respective second round matches, they'll face one another in the quarter-final.

Have I missed the doubles posts or is there a separate thread?

Anyway, there's 2 alt spots available, wonder if any Brits will sign in?
