Week 23 - ITF W100 - Surbiton, Great Britain Grass

Last 11 I think? Not that it really matters!

I mean it was closer than I expected but she should have won that third set. The backhand she missed on the break point was routine and then she just fell apart and couldn't get a ball in court.

Katie needs 7 break points in a 7 deuce game but finally gets back on serve.

*2-3

Lissey/Liv on serve against Em/Lohoff *3-3

You're right of course! Forgot the count the point with the netted backhand.

Sonay still in control against Boulter, currently a set and a break up, 6-3 *3-2.

I clearly jinxed her, as she didn't win another game in the set. Katie stepped it up a lot.

Boulter 3-6 6-3 0-0* Kartal

Lissey and Liv come through with a netcord on match point to win 4 & 4. Emily and Julia were up a break in both sets.

Does Isabella get the points for her WO today? Some piece of luck if so!

Yes

Maybe lucky. Though clearly she might have win anyway so it would be unfair to deny the points in such a situation.

Bit of a momentum shift as Katie saves 2 BPs on her own serve, holds, and then breaks Sonay to 15.

Boulter 3-6 6-3 *4-3 Kartal

A very close match favours the heavier and more proactive game in end.

I imagine there would have been very long odds for either Lily or Isabelle making the semi finals at the start of the tournament.

Not a bad effort from Eden and Olivia considering they lost the first five games !
